I didn’t want to fill up my blog with video links, but this is gold and I just had to share it, I hope you enjoy!

Movies

I have just been watching some movie trailers on iTunes and for the first time in a while I’m really looking forward to a handful of movies all coming out real soon…

  • Star Trek – I have never really been a Star Trek fan, but this film looks kick-ass.
  • Public Enemies – Can’t got wrong with Christian Bale and Johnny Deep, awesome actors!.
  • Transformers II – Umm, its transformers, nuff said.
  • G.I. Joe – Anything with ninja’s is win in my books.
  • X-Men Origins – More super heroes than you can shake a stick at!

Ok maybe not all of those movies are your next Oscar winner, but it’s coming up to winter, and in my books you can’t beat a good popcorn movie on a cold day.

Twitter

I kinda love it.  And for once I’m not late to the party on this one!  In fact I think I’m about 4 hours early, the dips are still being prepared and I am awkwardly waiting around by myself…  It hasn’t quite taken off in New Zealand yet from what I can tell.  Whenever I try and tell people about it all I get is “why the hell would I want everyone to know what I’m doing”.  Cause this is the future, google knows, your friends might as well to!

Any way… so at the moment while I hang around in the Twitter world by myself I’m following a few celebrities which actually makes me feel pretty cool (Shh, but it’s like they are my friends cause I know that had for breakfast…).

And on that note, till next time, good night!

Ps:  If you were my friend on Twitter, you would of known I was writing this entry then going to bed :)

I was thinking it would be good to look back over the last few months / year and see what I have been playing, so I thought I would start a monthly post of what’s happening on the game front for me.

What am I playing right now:

  • Halo Wars (360)
  • Killzone 2 (PS3)
  • Street Fighter IV (PS3)
  • World of Warcraft: Wraith of the Lich King (PC)

It’s been a busy week on the design front.  As most people who know me will know… I play a little World of Warcraft (WoW) in my spare time.  Recently my guild commissioned me to redesign their website. Take a look at the new site here

After getting involved in the redesign of the site I have been flooded with requests to create forum signatures for my fellow guild mates.  They have actually been a lot of fun to make, here’s a selection of a few I have pulled together for people over the last few days:

Well we are half way through the week.  Lets review…

Loved:

  • Nailing some more of the website I’m building at work
  • Finding out who is and isn’t a Cylon in Battlestar Galactica
  • The start of the ‘party’ planning phase… turning 30 soon, ouch!
  • Being invited to a Weta workshop event
  • Updating my blog
  • Finding an awesome plastic sword @ work… now known as Lion Dog!
  • IGN podcasts!  Scoop + Beyond = win
  • It’s Wednesday night which means Lost is on!

Hated

  • Failing my WoF because of a faulty break light
  • Smokers in the lunch time rush on the streets of Wellington!  Ban it already
  • The fact that Rachael (partner) was sick
  • Not finding any new Mighty Muggs!

Ah well, at least the good stuff outweighed the bad stuff!

This weekend I discovered a few great things!

My first discovery was Wall-E!  I have heard a lot of people loved this film, but I never really gave it a second thought, then this weekend out of the blue we decided to watch it.  I would rate it as Pixar’s finest work to date!  It’s amazing how much is said through so little.  For anyone who is having any doubts, don’t!  Get your hands on a copy ASAP!

My second discovery is Mighty Muggs!  In particular Star Wars Mighty Muggs!  I like them so much I have decided to start collecting them.  Already I have been able to get my hands on Han Solo, Chewbacca, Count Dooku and Anakin Skywalker.  I know… I’m crossing my Star Wars era’s but I couldn’t help myself!  Mighty Muggs are also made from 100% recycled awesomeness according to the box, how could I go wrong with such a statement on the box!

The image below is a homage to my discoveries:

Note:  It also rained to much this weekend and I couldn’t mow the lawns. Win!

Speaking of Discovery (the channel), I also learnt thanks to Bear Grylls that you can cut open a camel and sleep in it for protection from sand storms… much like Han Solo did with his Tonton when he was searching for Luke Skywalker in the snow.  The question is, did Bear get the idea from Star Wars, or did Star Wars get the idea from a survival expert?
